Brad Smith

Brad Smith has been a police officer for the West Covina Police Department in Southern California since 1981. He has been a K-9 handler for the last 20 years and a Swat dog handler for 18 years. Brad is currently National Canine Chairperson for N.T.O.A. and Subject Matter Expert for California Association of Tactical Officers, C.A.T.O. He specializes in field tactics and officer safety. Brad has instructed thousands of canine handlers and Swat operators throughout the United States, Canada and Brazil on K-9 SWAT tactics. Brad designed and implemented the first and only P.O.S.T certified K-9 SWAT School in the State of California. The school is called S.K.I.D.D.S., which stands for SWAT & K-9’s Interacting During Deployment School. He also runs a CAnine Tactical School called CATS.
