Steve Stoops has been in law enforcement officer for 20 years and a K-9 officer for 15 years. He is currently assigned to the Anderson Indiana Police Department K-9 Unit. Steve is an instructor & trainer and holds K-9 instructor certificates from the State of Indiana.. As a K-9 handler he is a three time recipient of the "Combat Cross" for his actions in armed encounters which occurred in conjunction with his police K-9 duties. Steve has a sport background in Schutzhund, KNPV, as well as the French Ring Sport. He is also the co-founder and publisher of "American Working Dogs". Steve's first dog "Zane" was awarded a Presidential Citation by President Bill Clinton in 1994.
