Jonathan Appel has been a police officer with the Fort Lauderdale Police Department, Florida for 10 years. He has been working dogs for 8 years. Jon recently left the K-9 section and is currently assigned to marine unit where he rides around on a boat. Jon is a State of Florida certified K-9 Team instructor. Jon was the co-founder of the Police K-9 Training Institute, Inc.
